Motu’s Pizzeria - ID Sign Mockup
Motu’s Pizzeria is a quick service restaurant located in SeaWorld San Antonio. This location was in need of a new logo sign that exudes the playful aura of the place. I incorporated the fun and cheerful font along with the mascot of the area, Motu the turtle.
Colors
Both colors are pulled from the character asset “Motu” the turtle. It is a trademarked character used in SeaWorld Aquatica. I used the character’s colors for the entirety of the logo to fully embody the presence of Motu.
Logo Digital Drafts
These four rough drafts of the logo were the beginning stages of the product. I wanted to incorporate the existing colors of the character whilst still having a fresh feel. Each logo played with the word “pizzeria” differently such as adding a pizza box, including fun graphics of pizza itself, and even abstract patterns for the background.
Final Logo
As the experimental backgrounds were fun to design, I finalized the logo with just the letters and the graphic icon of “Motu” to make the appearance more clean and professional. Less is always more and the emphasis of the logo is more apparent.
